Executive Team

The BEE organization is composed of multi-talented individuals who have been selected for their outstanding competency, skill level, and passion for sharing stories about our nation's Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). In addition to John T. Fleming, CEO, the team includes attorneys, several media and marketing consultants, communicators, and business leaders representing the highest of standards and the best interests of the students, parents, counselors, and mentors who will use HBCU Today as a resource guide.

JOHN T. FLEMING III, Executive Vice President—John is responsible for communications as well as community and public relations for BEE. John received his undergraduate degree in communications from Hampton University, and it is his vision for how to effectively promote the significance and relevance of Historically HBCUs that plays a critical role in all aspects of the enterprise. John previously worked with one of the largest media companies in the country.

GREGORY CAMPBELL, Partner—Gregory is president & CEO of Rainmaker, Inc., an investment advisory firm he founded in 1995. He has advised and participated in both domestic and international transactions, and over the last 20 years has also successfully created and operated businesses in the real estate, management consulting, and private equity sectors. Gregory was co-founderand continues to serve as managing partnerof the North Texas Opportunity Fund, a private equity firm that invests institutional money in minority-led, middle-market companies in the distribution and specialized services sectors. Gregory is a partner in BEE and provides both financial and strategic direction and guidance to the enterprise.

WILLIAM COLEMAN, Vice President, Sales—Bill is responsible for strategic plans in support of all sales efforts. He has over 28 years of corporate sales experience where he has served in several key field and executive management positions within blue-chip companies such as IBM, Hewlett Packard, AT&T, Forrester Research, and RCN. As a single sales contributor, Bill has produced as much as $14 million in annual revenue and as an executive-level manager has amassed over $170 million in annual revenues through more than 100 sales professionals. As HBCU Today will not be sold in stores, it will be the primary responsibility of the CEO and Bill to select affiliates across the country who will represent HBCU Today and make possible the purchase of the book.

JERROLD SMITH, Consultant—Jerrold is owner of 1 Plus One Management, an advertising consulting organization. He has extensive experience in sales, sales management, and media placement and purchasing. Jerrold is responsible for the image and branding of the Angel City Classic.

N.D. BROWN, Consultant—N.D. is chairperson and chief executive officer of TriDestined Studios. She oversees all business and legal affairs, corporate structure and strategic planning, and green-lights projects for TriDestined Studios and all of its subsidiaries. Prior to her tenure at TriDestined Studios, N.D. served as producer, founder, and CEO of TriDestined Media Enterprises, an entertainment conglomerate currently overseeing multimedia advancement, investment, and technology for TriDestined Studios. The TriDestined team was selected after the first BEE event to be the in-house production company for creation of corporate videos, promotions, television commercials, and special event management.

META WILLIAMS, Consultant—Meta supports research and writing for BEE publishing projects. An alumna of Johnson C. Smith University and Howard Law School, Meta is a passionate advocate of the cultural and educational opportunities offered at HBCUs. BEE considers Meta to be an invaluable asset.

INDEPENDENT AFFILIATES—It is the intent of BEE to establish Independent affiliates in every state, as well as other countries, that have an interest in providing information to youth, parents, teachers, and counselors on the continued existence and relevance of HBCUs in the United States, which continue to provideminorities in particularwith a unique cultural experience as well as an outstanding educational opportunity.
